There are heart-breaking stories filling your mind and soul with smooth-spoken words and smooth voices, whatever literary genre to be about:drama ,tragedy or comedy, novel, legend or epic…and with any kind of theme:love, historical, psychological or war…. Anyway it seems that love has always been present,we can show it from the time when written forms came into life and called literary styles.

Shall we remind ourselves of Shakespeare, where sweetness of literary language has been pervaded with thoughtful ideas on human being and a necklace of all features appear in their relationships, which stringing  betrayal,trust,love,hate.. .His writing was speech of Poetry….

But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief,
That thou her maid art far more fair than she:
Be not her maid, since she is envious;
Her vestal livery is but sick and green
And none but fools do wear it; cast it off.
It is my lady, O, it is my love!

/from Romeo and Julia/

One more encounter with all appearances that the dawn of Mankind brings to life we meet in Goethe’s Faust absorbing verses and three main characters involved :Faust,Margaret, and Mephistopheles

Day? Yes, the day comes,–the last day breaks for me!
My wedding-day it was to be!
Tell no one thou has been with Margaret!
Woe for my garland! The chances
Are over–’tis all in vain!
We shall meet once again,
But not at the dances!
/from Faust/

It is melody composed by hand of a virtuoso and millions and millions hoards of people coming into the world and dying in a twirl of mystic surrounding, wondering themselves about perpetual mystery of life and death and not finding answers. And Love ,as the purest form over all the rest appears to be a sacrifice;it could be defeat or triumph, anyway ,still Love resists to everything as the most beautiful touch of Human soul , never beaten, and never to lose its meaning.Even it happens to die,it seems like a ghost raises above body and gives its soul to the Heaven.

Every one of them, think of Authors, have been seducing us,regardless it was on purpose or by chance….they got us,and we embraced their most beautiful forms of creations and beauty we find in magic composed sentences.

Ernest Hemingway in Kenia 1953

Hemingway in Kenia 1953

Love can speak in many ways, and now, after this introduction,it speaks about a real story where imagination has been left to you, to picture Author’s view of things happening around, and still you will be able to live through all gifts of nature and lost worlds between life and death with strange creatures,by feeling gorgeous relationships among characters who recite story about whole Humanity-each one of us.

“For whom the bell rings”

After reading this much appreciated novel by Ernest Hemingway,it seemed to me that i had plunged into beautiful ocean, while being unaware  by which means i reached there. In case of Hemingway’s writing it must be an outcome of the act of Genius. He simply leads you through his narration, you watch characters, play their games, listen to their talks, everything is so real, nothing magic…no devil,no wizard,no flattering  phrases..

My Queen,my the only sense of life….

There was everything so live in this novel, pure Reality ,and now you ask yourself:How does it happen that you are so attracted by his writing, and why do you have a sense of swimming in beautiful sea ,and wondering at all mysterious undersea live world there?

Isn’t  it all  a consequence of his great sensuality, his great intellectuality and imagination, and over all ,isn’t it about great Human appearance in this world-GREAT MAN

Let me suppose that all beautiful attributes which he possesses himself have been borrowed by his absolute unique prose,or his works stole them-reflections of inner beauty and strength to spice themselves. That is why i get an impression of traveling after which i am with no knowledge of where i have been, what i have seen, and still i only long to plunge into it more and more. All the Beauty looks like running from me, together with each answer torturing me/It is strange.

Robert Jordan as main character/who joined Spanish guerrilla during civil war against fascism/ is a common figure;there is no calling for obscure forces or possessing unearthly abilities;his story is a story of all of us,it pulls all Mankind’s history, untold and told, seen and unseen ,he is not alone,we are with him in the all.He is mirror of  a warrior – numerous ones in wars across the world, fell and dead in many battles;he is living memory of his family and the others living in different places, but at the end, the destinies of them come back to the beginning-story about a Human being ,a traveler through space and time in eternal wandering between line of life and death, and with questions waiting to be answered.

Who we really are and how we see each other he is presenter of  an army of Humans who ever lived on Earth;one comprehensive question that was characteristic of Hemingway’s endeavor to embrace the destiny of all the Humanity in one being and give answers. And one of dominant question has been Death- facing death and in a flash before it,thinking of past life, finding some good things you had, ones you would never have, and at the end seeing the Man to be winner;Man who arises above all disasters and regardless of his gratitude of given life,he is the one to stay high in the end as he says:See,i look at your face,i know of what you did to me,and still i am the only to draw strength from myself and choose whether to leave this world with bowed head or risen over all.

Suicide which was Hemingway’s personal fate, could be stay open question, but i can offer a possible answer; To Hemingway,it was also a challenge,it took great personal courage, because you endanger possible rage of unknown forces;he took his chance to face it, and he was one of the rarest in world to really live through his life and seize death.

For Whom The Bell Tolls

For Whom The Bell Tolls

“You do not run onto something like that. Such things … don’t happen. Maybe it never did happen, he thought. Maybe you dreamed it or made it up and it never did happen.”/Robert Jordan/

One thought to honour the importance of meeting with Maria and birth of love, which doesn’t happen often in life, and should be embraced immediately. That is glory of life over dreams, while living true earthly happiness. And there are no outer decorated sounds of music in your ears, but still that Real True Love speaks louder and stronger than many narrated by whole orchestra playing its symphony.

“Maria, I love thee and thou art so lovely and … so wonderful and so beautiful and it does such things to me to be with thee that I feel as though I wanted to die when I am loving thee.”

Somewhere, deep in us lies seed of the ultimate and highest feelings and happiness, thereby our wish to stop ourselves and keeping  it while losing our existence.

Then you and me we are the same,” Maria said. She put her hand on his arm and looked in his face. He looked at her brown face and at the eyes that, since he had seen them, had never been as young as the rest of her face but that now were suddenly hungry and young and wanting.

“I love thee as I love all that we have … fought for. I love thee as I love liberty and dignity and the rights of all men to work and not to be hungry.”/R.Jordan

Want more marvel from Hemingway? It is about all beauties of nature, starting with Sun shining and lawns, and the all is so perfect  implanted and inherent of characters. There are no excessive descriptions to impose you such impressions; no ornaments too much ,but all is vivid and painted,so strong,we can almost unerringly hear rivers, see blue heaven, listen to blessed tweets of birds,we feel softness of grass where Jordan lies. ..and Blind can see,Deaf can hear, lame can walk……Isn’t it MIRACLE?

And we must be admired by Hemingway’s magnificent reflection on events and expressed feelings, for all of that!Imagine, he was able to give ear to deaf one, eyesight to blind ones..What better gifts you could possible give Mankind?Hemingway has in best way returned all conceived by his birth,by equaling during his lifetime in real sense an idea of Creation and Miracle of Jesus Christ, with his own Grandiose WORK.

His works:That is a PANEL  filled by his Divine attributes, and it was inevitable that he surmounts  his work, and that is why in my review i speak more about HIM.He had courage, which is not so common, to jump bonders, go for adventure like a true venturer in some unknown lands and meet strange people. And there,he perceived another being to be like him, like any of us ,all joined in pain and fear, in hate and love, in truth and lie,and friendships and enemy, and in longing for eternity and better life.

Thereby a title named:”For Whom The Bell tools”

And probably more than in other literary works where we meet a Great Mind ,this is more about meeting with a GREAT MAN alike, who was able to make marvels, which was only seen at the beginning of the world and you guess who was there.

“He looked down the hill slope again and he thought, … I hate to leave it, is all. I hate to leave it very much and I hope I have done some good in it. I have tried to with what talent I had.”

“Who do you suppose has it easier? The ones with … religion or just taking it straight? It comforts them very much but we know there is no thing to fear. It’s only the missing that’s bad. Dying is only bad when it takes a long time and hurts so much that it humiliates you. That is where you have all the luck, see? You don’t have any of that.”

Death, seen as liberation,so acceptable as continues flow of lives and deaths;a way like plants dying and give births again..no difference. It is Greatness reflected through cognition of Universe in its fullness and equality against all created ,visible and invisible.

And why would you be afraid of Death? There is no fear.If a Man has courage to live his life with complete strenght of body and efforts of mind, with courage to go after unknown, and in that road to explore, to learn,to help others and to receive rewards and defeats alike-It is about a man who is fiery in Love, while leaving nothing in this world but to be experienced in full ecstasy and devotion.

Hemingway sends a message:You can testify that i didn’t spend my life in selfishness, i GAVE YOU more than i had myself!

He was one of rare men on Earth who really deserve to be glorified shoulder to shoulder with the only originators of the world!

There is still an open question about Hemingway’s Death:is it acceptable or not, right or wrong!Partly i answered it, but i shall refer you here  to Jesus Christ and his crucifixion-was there not present a voluntary surrender to destiny?

“Dying is only bad when it takes a
long time and hurts so much that it humiliates you. That is where you have all the luck, see? You don’t have any of that.”

Whatever your personal attitudes on death, you must recognize Hemingway’s Greatness about way his hero looks at it and his strenght to face dying.

“Maria is my true love and my wife. I never had a true love. I never had a wife. She is also my sister, and I never had a sister, and my daughter, and I never will have a daughter. I hate to leave a thing that is so good. “/R.Jordan

If you never felt power of LOVE and still without knowledge of why it is essence of happiness, try to go into mind of a man who dies and last thoughts dedicates to his love;he made all in his power to get her feeling how death doesn’t exist,it only happens that they going on their travel together .

“Listen to this well, rabbit,” he said. He knew there … was a great hurry and he was sweating very much, but this had to be said and understood. “Thou wilt go now, rabbit. But I go with thee. As long as there is one of us there is both of us. Do you understand?”

It is luck to him, that he made her to go…

And death has been delayed for few moments, because he was able to do more good things in so short time for others there.. and death would come from another hand….

“It’s wonderful they’ve got away. I don’t mind this at … all now they are away. It is sort of the way I said. It really is very much that way. Look how different it would be if they were all scattered out across that hill where that gray horse is.”

“No Man is an island, entire of itself, every Man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;if a clod be washed away by the sea,Europe is the less…any Man’s death diminishes me,because i am involved in mankind..and therefore never send to know FOR WHOM THE BELL TOOLS;it tolls for thee.”
John Donne

This review is my free view on Hemingway’s life, work and personality;i even didn’t want to study many interpretations of his novels, because as i do it every time while writing reviews,i allow my imagination and instinct to lead me,and perhaps it is some kind of tribute to Hemingway;let’s suppose that he would really like to love him that way.

Thank you

There are no many authors to leave behind their lives some uncatchable and incomparable titles such as The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint -Exupery.Everyone who has ever thought about writing a book by the bottom of his heart, has probably been driven by feeling of jointing simple child imagination and adult’s world reaching to catch unknown,or perhaps unseen in night’s sky filled by stars and remote unknown creatures and intelligence ,that corresponding the very beginning of the Creation and Christian teaching of living in Paradise.

Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery

The story is not deprived of sadness -it touches Death which Author was not able or was unwilling to miss. That is why i can’t accept Little Prince to be just a child’s book;there are many more reasons for it,and they lie in profound thinking expressed in some parts of the book.

The one by which is Little Prince so lovable is play between pure child’s reflection about plain things and explanation about grown’s inability to see them, which began with a drawing of elephant swallowed by a snake Emperor. He knew since then that every man that keeps an unreasonable vision for their elder years ,are very, very happy. It is about happiness in older age/when we become mature and begin to resemble to crooked picture in the mirror/and still possess an insatiable spirit of longing for “strange’,invisible and unknown appearances, beyond a ‘real” world. That driven force over the centuries brought many outstanding acts and discoveries, and most of them had been accomplished by individuals who felt the same like Antoine De Sent Engziperi and his Little Prince.

First sentence i very liked was:”Straight ahead of him, nobody can go very far…” it is connected to sheep that could be lost somewhere if it is not bound. But i gave myself freedom to take words of Little Prince much deeper than a simple saying…In the sentence could be summarized the whole Wizard that represents beauty in us,as Human beings, our existence, all the Universe, all the seen and unseen, which existed and all which would ever come.

Just imagine, was it so rude imagination of Supreme to bring you and me into presence ,only we to be left to our every day’s common things and lives without beauty of inner joy of looking for our true Being to love it,by cherishing and sharing happiness with others in Love and knowledge, and strong will we possess to lead us above all the average surroundings deprived of eternal truth, received by our births:to Love ourselves and to accept love to be source of endless happiness and foundation of filled life and personal  immortality.

As story goes on ,we are reminded why is it that child’s world is so simple happy,in absence of all the things that a world of grown has been loaded.
By following flow of the tale i have arrived to the point that i love best :about Rose and Prince.Obviously,a Rose ,unique in the whole world reached by him, with its thorns.

“If some one loves a flower, of which just one single blossom grows in all the millions and millions of stars, it is enough to make him happy just to look at the stars.”

The birth of the Rose was exceptional event for Prince as much as it was his entire  existence.Being gifted with beauty and magic of seduce, there is no wonder for rose to be a bit ‘loft’ with such attributes that she was granted with. And what little Prince has not been able to understand in the moment when he met rose, was its vulnerability and sensibility, which She tried to  mask by naive and a bit “rough” conversation.

Oh! How beautiful you are!”

“Am i not?”the flower responded, sweetly”And i was born at the same moment as the sun…”

The little prince could guess easily enough that she was not any too modest ,but how moving, and exciting she was!

“I think it is time for breakfast” she added an instant later.”If you would have the kidness to think of my needs” And the little prince, completely abashed, went to look for a sprinking can of fresh water”

“One never ought to listen to the flowers. One should simply look at them and breathe their fragrance. Mine perfumed all my planet. But I did not know how to take pleasure in all her grace. This tale of claws, which disturbed me so much, should only have filled my heart with tenderness and pity.”And he continued his confidences:“The fact is that I did not know how to understand anything! I ought to have judged by deeds and not by words. She cast her fragrance and her radiance over me. I ought never to have run away from her… I ought to have guessed all the affection that lay behind her poor little strategems. Flowers are so inconsistent! But I was too young to know how to love her…”

I should like now to see every one of men who ever loved and missed such one “ROSE” ,being too young or too arrogant in own egotism ,or maybe they felt themselves  week to keep a “ loved Rose” in their life. This is piece of the book i love best!Thank you endless dear Antoine!

Speech of Love is not supposed to be reasonable; Love is risen by subtle and filigree vibrations of soul,so tender, passionate and proud in longing to embrace entire being of lover. Is there end of learning about love?We embrace and meet genuine love in another unknown desert, new land,by learning about every single thing over and over; each little and trivial one, touched by hand of loved person, grows out of our reason and we lose sense of reality…there is only a world of Magic.

I have been silly,” she said to him, at last. “I ask your forgiveness. Try to be happy…”

“Of course I love you,” the flower said to him. “It is my fault that you have not known it all the while. That is of no importance. But you, you have been just as foolish as I. Try to be happy

How many times did you find yourself to think how foolish you are,by feeeling that your reaction was excessive and improper.Crazy Heart, forgive a moment of madness!Don’t blame anyone, bless every tren as gift for you, to learn of natural and ancient truth of simple happiness!

There is an undiscovered secret of me,waiting to enrich you and me in our love!If there is a stone longing for water, you say it is Rose, if there is a house full of happiness, you say it is my Rose, if there is a tree with first Spring’s blooms, you say, look at it is my Rose,if there is a butterfly flying, you say it is my Rose.Suddenly in that world the two meet each other and for reasons quite unnecessary being understood of you, fall in love….just leave it so,it is spice of Mystery and never an obstacle.

Tame me!
about Relationship

It is fox to teach about relationship;we are not supposed to be strangers and if we want to make friends, all which we need is good will, much attentions, little things to make someone’s reality more beautiful, maybe one warm word to passers-by,hearing  carefully what somebody tells you, simple answer to someone requests…

One only understands the things that one tames,” said the fox. If you want a friend, tame me…”“Go and look again at the roses. You will understand now that yours is unique in all the world. Then come back to say goodbye to me, and I will make you a present of a secret.”

And everyone looks for such an unique Rose to be only in their possession;how much we are successful depends on our origin and granted attributes, our ability to improve ourselves, our will to Love and courage to go for Love.We shall never know all of secrets leading to the true Love, and believe we don’t need asking  for answers….simply just let it happen!

You are empty,” he went on. “One could not die for you. To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you, the rose that belongs to me. But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of yo“You are beautiful, but you other roses: because it is she that I have watered; …. because it is she that I have listened to, when she grumbled, or boasted, or even sometimes when she said nothing. Because she is my rose.”

What i call mystery,Antoan names “invisible”:leave some unheardy melody to other time, some of unspoken words to other occasion, some of unrequited kisses to special days, some of laughs to unexpected events, some of tears to hard situations, some of more love to the future ,so glorious and magnificent ahead.

Goodbye,” said the fox. “And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important.”Men have forgotten this truth,” said the fox. “But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose…”

“The house, the stars, the desert– what gives them their beauty is something that is invisible!”

Let’s try live our present being aware every moment that somewhere there is a home waiting for us,some people we have never met longing to see and know of us,some written books and hidden speeches in language we don’t understand;imagine that there are many things seek to learn about them;it is possible just like you haven’t know of existence of your beloved who has been there and you had no knowledge of him!
Keep living in such inexhaustible source of quest  for unseen, unspeakable, unvoiced, unnoticed, and keep believing that one day you will meet a Little Prince .Wouldn’t it be shame for you if you were not able to meet his expectations, for he believed in you and your task on Earth. He could ask you:Do you take care of your Rose?

And i like to see Antoine’s legacy in one joined point of death and life;it is an eternal circle where the beginning and end encounter each other, our existence is already once experienced death, our lives are just renewed lost souls in undying long for reaching sky and remote worlds out there.

I just like “lost” and women in “troubles” in a way they lead their lives.,being unacceptable from own surrounding, being rejected for leading seemingly different life than usually others live;Regardless of how much is someone’s life derogated, for there are the ones who have observed it being “wrong”,first question to arouse over a habit of doom is:who has the right to judge one man’s life, since at one time there were established some basic  Human rules for everyone;s existence in a form of freedom and  leading life according to personal choice..That is clearly close to a Religion approach of judgment on what is right and wrong about every one’s behavior and deed.

Jane Austen

Jane Austen

It was not by chance a way that i began this review on a LIFE,one Personality, a Writer,on a WOMAN.. to live in the past time and experience all the load of human doom;centuries have gone ,but greatness of HER left timeless tracks. It is about Jane Austen, loved and adored writer, whose real-life appearance made introduction in my writing.

What kind of woman she was?If she wrote wonderful works for her lifetime to overcome all the changes of coming days, what was wrong of having not the same glory at the age when her works had become.

There was happiness for Jane that her father understood and supported her writing and education, which made her great advantage, especially in regards to the time she lived .The most beautiful impressions that we meet by reading her novels, have been tribute to her vive and strong nature which sources lie in being in love with herself. It is again near to religion  aspects of Jesus Christ’s heritage of being in love with ourselves as expression of the comprehensive  principle in cherishing Love to all Fellow-Creatures.

Her personal strength made her to stay true to the trueness of inner being ,rooted in natural law of going after real worths of which Love was the most dominant .She was not allowed to be “mangled” by accepting anything else but genuine LOVE.And when a man came into her life, she gave her heart and mind to him, despite being aware of social circumstances, which is at the end ,separated her from the  final happiness.

his name was Tom Lefroy

from Jane’s letters:”I am almost afraid to tell you how my Irish friend and I behaved. Imagine to yourself everything most profligate and shocking in the way of dancing and sitting down together

Such a combination of reality and romance is inevitable consequence of entire life of every being in earth.Fate and damn, happiness and joy, arm in arm, close and disjointed in miles by the very beginning of all the world. It feels like Damn gave its breathe to life conceived in one Being forever.

We are most admired by Jane’s writing ,that is which attracts us to being  astonished and leads to thinking of how a life looked like, what she suffered, what she loved, what she  dreamed…For a moment please, try to think of her real life, the paths where she walked, the halls that she danced in,imagine her sitting in a living-room writing letters and lovely novels, see her holding  hand of  a man she loved and her eyes as seeking the proof of love, fast beats of the heart on tender look and kiss of her beloved,…think of her hopes to live  together with her lover….How about all that you feel now, are your look and sense changed? It must be that you find yourself rising over her writing to feel much more of what she lost and left behind in her real life, and ask yourself for the price of such a life devoted to genuine principles of true LOVE of oneself and Truth-it is BEAUTY,and it is to me,the MOST VALUABLE Jane Austen left during her living .I’ll put it in the  first place of  all the achievements in her writing.

Every time you  remember me of Jane Austen and ask me for an opinion on Sense and Sensibility or Pride and Prejudice,I’ll take out of my memory her real environment in which she lived, to give real Tribute to her as a writer and woman. It was first which gave a birth to beautiful novels and stories she wrote.

Jane Austen (16 December 1775 – 18 July 1817) was an English novelist whose works of romantic fiction set among the gentry have earned her a place as one of the most widely read and most beloved writers in English literature. Among scholars and critics, Austen’s realism and biting social commentary have cemented her historical importance as a writer.

Sense and Sensibility (1811)
Pride and Prejudice (1813)
Mansfield Park (1814)
Emma (1815)
Northanger Abbey (1817) (posthumous)

Jane Austen is a well known and much-loved English author. Her fans today number in the millions and since the advent of motion pictures, her novels have been turned into film at an almost regular pace. Though just having publish a mere six novels, those few works have become the basis for the true romance story since their appearance on the literary scene in the early 1800’s.

If you asked me how i would like my childhood to have looked like,in which surrounding i would have spent my childish days,i would say…on TARA….

To be SCARLETT is most amazing dream that a little -grown up girl might have..Born as little princess she was molly-coddle and on care by her dearest.Being so beautiful, there must be her beauty reflected ambient where she lived and absorbed outer powerful nature in all its opulence. That was a way they were feeding each other,by exchanging their inner charm, tenderness, power, energy, beauty….a row of common Human and Nature attributes.

Beside a native beautiful look,Scarlett picked up vivid force of the nature, which bore her through all the life and gave an astonished strength in the hardest days, which were waiting for her.

As the Queen on the balls, she has always been surrounded by all young men who pretended to marry her.She was sharing her charm unselfish, giving magic smiles and laugh every one of them….her hilarity was absorbing. Each man could have belonged to her,and every one was longing to conquer her heart.Such a richness and abundance had to lead to some deflections…unfortunately, when we are overwhelmed with richness of blissful attributes,it happens often to turn ourselves into a destructive energy. It was easy possible to happen with Scarlett, and she became a sacrifice of own magnificent and splendid nature being strong expressed in her feelings, which stayed an enigma to the end of the story..LOVE.

Her Love of Ashley, turned him in personal obsession, which could have been a punishment, accepted to be her destiny. Not only she, every person who meet and feel such abundance of own personality,is often faced with choosing such a way to punish oneself…in some way. That was the fate to accompany her for lifetime. What is the easiest way to get out of such a big load but to punish yourself.

Scarlett merited her praise and approved own values during the war,by encountering with enemy when she had evinced astonishing courage and strength to face with bad people, willing to kill and abuse women. Then, she helped her rival Melanie by staying with her in difficult moments, when she gave a birth to a baby, and helping her to find a way back to Tara.

Tara was and stayed her Destiny and personal impress.Scarlett was drawing the whole strength she possessed from Tara and felt intensity and power of the land, she needed its hardness and security. The Supremacy’s creation of the world jointed all necessary elements which nature bears in itself…beauty and power, strength and backbone, hate and love, silence and storms…Scarlett and Tara

No,i didn’t forget Rhett Butler,he played main role in her life….just to point out her punishment in realm of love.It was about great destruction which such a character could held inside of own being. It is unthinkable that beautiful Scarlett was not able to love …she needed love more than others might imagine and was predicted for great love.

I think she was probably aware of an inner load that she might never pay off and of its cost- never reaching real love…but, it was Scarlett with all th strength of will to struggle and believe in Love, and a hope that God’s punishment was not so crucial for her to be bereaved of her essential being in longing for splendid and magic love..

I’ll think about it tomorrow……

Could you imagine that she was created for something ordinarily?Beautiful and glorious Scarlett was deprived of having a life resembling lives of many. She had to pay for own excellence some high prices,by taking from herself and giving more to others. To beat evil is not easy work..even harder way than meeting Devil itself…or himself…

I and you can only imagine how her path of love could have been  continued…regardless she has brought her love back or not,i firmly believe she would stay strong and full of hope for love and future..till the end,if an end exists at all…for Her and Tara

What about a suffering love of Ashley, relationship that she built in own imagination and fed the youngest days of her life.Wasn’t that feeling of her forced by her spite, for Ashley had been all the time aware of differences that stood between him and her?/for him she has a heart of lion/

You were too full of living and too real and I was cowardly enough to prefer shadows and dreams.”

I had sheltered myself from people all my life, I had carefully selected my few friends.  But the war taught me I had created a world of my own with dream people in it.  It taught me what people really are, but it didn’t teach me how to live with them.

Forgive me, Scarlett, for talking so. I can’t make you understand because you don’t know the meaning of fear. You have the heart of  lion and an utter lack of imagination and I envy you both of those qualities. You’ll never mind facing realities and you’ll never want to escape from them as I do.”

You told me you loved me better than her that day–oh, you remember that day

“We were to forget that day at Twelve Oaks.”There was a day of his weakness to confess his love of her…a moment which comes to be an illusion …Melanie was a woman he could understand and regard and she  fitted his quiet and serene nature.

Rhett has been loved by women..no wonder,he was a real gentlemen who loved and knew a way to seduce them in a charming man’s manner. As much as women admired him, they loved him the same, and wanted to be on a list waiting for his flattering words.Every woman covets to meet such a careful seducer who knows about each secret twinkle of her soul.

Rhett and Scarlet

“It was so obvious that we were meant for each other.  So obvious that I was the only man of your acquaintance who could love you after knowing you as you really are–hard and greedy and unscrupulous, like me.  I loved you and I took the chance.  I thought Ashley would fade out of your mind.  But,” he shrugged, “I tried everything I knew and nothing worked.  And I loved you so,Scarlett.  If you had only let me, I could have loved you as gently and as tenderly as ever a man loved a woman.  But I couldn’t let you know, for I knew you’d think me weak and try to use my love against me.  And always–always there was Ashley.  It drove me crazy.

“Rhett, don’t say such things!  Oh, what can I say to make you understand?  I’ve told you how sorry I am–”

My darling, you’re such a child.  You think that by saying,’I’m sorry,’ all the errors and hurts of years past can beremedied, obliterated from the mind, all the poison drawn from old wounds. . . .  Take my handkerchief, Scarlett.  Never, at any crisis of your life, have I known you to have a handkerchief.”

For a moment

she was on the verge of an outburst of childish wild tears.  She

could have thrown herself on the floor, cursed and screamed and

drummed her heels.  But some remnant of pride, of common sense

stiffened her.  She thought, if I did, he’d only laugh, or just

look at me.  I mustn’t bawl; I mustn’t beg.  I mustn’t do anything

to risk his contempt.  He must respect me even–even if he doesn’t

love me.

She had never understood either of the men she had loved and so she had lost them both. Now,she had a confused knowledge that, had she ever understood Ashley, she would never have loved him;had she ever understood Rhett, she would never have lost him.She wondered forlornly if she had ever really understood anyone in the world.

As God’s will made it,Earth comes to be the strongest support and source of power we can search for in our existence. There is Heaven which lures us with all the Bible’s and religions stories and rooted beliefs, received from our parents and ancestors. In real life,in the face of difficulties we become naturally turned to land as presently accessible …it feeds us like fruits and vegetables harvested each year in peasant’s struggle with storms, rain and drought.Scarlett loved richness bestowed by Tara,as she loved Tara to be her mother,a cradle where she was born and forever bound with childhood and everything it bears..childish happiness, plays, innocent laughs..parent’s love .. most joyous moments in life.

“Tara! Home. I’ll go home, and I’ll think of some way to get him back! After all, tomorrow is another day!

I won’t think of it now,” she thought grimly, summoning up her old charm.  “I’ll go crazy if I think about losing him now.  I’ll think of it tomorrow.””I won’t think of it now,” she said again, aloud, trying to push her misery to the back of her mind, trying to find some bulwark against the rising tide of pain.  “I’ll–why, I’ll go home to Tara tomorrow,” and her spirits lifted faintly

thought of Tara and it was as if a gentle cool hand were stealing

over her heart.  She could see the white house gleaming welcome to

her through the reddening autumn leaves, feel the quiet hush of the

country twilight coming down over her like a benediction, feel the

dews falling on the acres of green bushes starred with fleecy

white, see the raw color of the red earth and the dismal dark

beauty of the pines on the rolling hills.

She stood for a moment remembering small things, the avenue of dark

cedars leading to Tara, the banks of cape jessamine bushes, vivid

green against the white walls, the fluttering white curtains. And

Mammy would be there. Suddenly she wanted Mammy desperately,as

she had wanted her when she was a little girl, wanted the broad

bosom on which to lay her head, the gnarled black hand on her hair.

Mammy, the last link with the old days.”

With the spirit of her people who would not know defeat, even when

it stared them in the face, she raised her chin. She could get

Rhett back. She knew she could. There had never been a man she

couldn’t get, once she set her mind upon him.

I’ll think of it all tomorrow, at Tara.  I can stand it then. Tomorrow, I’ll think of some way to get him back.  After all, tomorrow is another day”

Margaret Munnerlyn Mitchell (November 8, 1900 – August 16, 1949) was an American author, who won the Pulitzer Prize  in 1937 for her novel Gone with the Wind. The novel is one of the most popular books of all time, selling more than 30 million copies (see list of best-selling books . An American film adaptation , released in 1939, became the highest-grossing film in the history of Hollywood , and received a record-breaking ten Academy Awards. Its record of eight non-honorary Academy Awards stood until 1958.

Mitchell wrote for her own amusement, and with solid support from her husband, kept her novel secret from her friends. She hid the voluminous pages under towels, disguising them as a divan , hid them in her closets, and under her bed.[citation needed  ] She wrote the last chapter first, and skipped around from chapter to chapter. Her husband regularly proofread   the growing manuscript to help in continuity. By 1929, her ankle had healed, most of the book was written, and she lost interest in pursuing her literary efforts. The bulk of the work was written between 1925 and 1930 in an apartment Mitchell called “The Dump”[4]  : the Crescent Apartments  are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places and are operated as a museum to Mitchell’s memory.

Gone With the Wind was published on June 30, 1936.
